Relay mystery
We have had to have a new lighting bypass relay fitted to the car. (The last one failed and I didn't know as everything worked on hitch up and the audible repeater worked!!!!!!) Since the new one was fitted my car battery is losing charge, about 0.1 volt
per day. The tow bar people deny there is a problem with the relay. Funny how I could leave the tow car parked for 3 weeks with no problem and now can't leave it more than a week. Battery has been checked and is 100%. Any one else met this problem? Next time
out I will remove the fuse for the live feed to see if that helps.

Just a quick thought as yourself and I have not much to go on at the moment with regards fault finding, so I'll say what springs to mind!
You say a new Lighting Bypass Relay has been fitted, so I assume you mean a "Univarsal Seven way Bypass Relay" such as a "H52" Relay or simular. The relays circuitry is constantly live even when the towcars ignition is switched off, but the standby current
is milliamps i.e. would take six months or so to run a car battery down. The thing that first springs to my mind is; Is the relay mounted in the towcars boot? if so, when changing the relay they may of disturbed the boot light switch, so unbeknown to you,
when the boot is closed the light maybe remaining on. If this is the case, without going into great detail, as the light would be on when arming the car alarm, it is possible that said slow current drain will not set the car alarm off. As said, just a quick
