Where does my elsan pink go
Hi all just a quick question.
We are picking up our new mh in two weeks and it has a toilet flush which is fed from the main water tank.
My question is where do I put the pink flush liquid
My question will be answered when we go through the hand over which I've been asked to allow upto 3 hrs to undertake but I do like going prepared with some of the answers lol

in you m/home it is unlikely to have a reservoir tank that holds the pink fluid. Some folks do not use pink. However we do and use a spray bottle filled with a diluted pink fluid And spay before (makes the toilet slippery !) and after (masks the possible
odours ;-( )A useful tip is to paint the rubber flap on the cassette white, that way at night in low levels of light, it is possible to tell if the flap is closed or open. Nowt worse then clattering about in the middle of a night , or having a glaring light , to see
if the escape route is open.rgds

Your right no reservoir tank in the new mh
We did wonder what the pink spray bottles were for thanks for the white paint tip

If you want to use the pink stuff, do what I do. We keep a spray bottle in the cupboard and give the toilet bowl a spray now and again. Occasionally, we also clean the toilet bowl with Thetford Toilet cleaner.
Most motorhomers don't bother with the pink stuff and some don't bother with chemcials at all, preferring the SOG system [plenty of comment on the pros and cons of SOGs on other motorhome forums]. Some favour Aldi or Lidl bio tablets in the cassette.
What works for you will depend on how frequently you use your toilet and where you empty your cassette.
There are lots of small differences in the way motorhomers behave compared to caravanners. The differences tend to reflect the touring style of motorhomers. Enjoy exploring the little differences, the big differences will hit you almost immediately!
If you haven't done already, join a dedicated motorhome forum. The biggest is Motorhome Fun now and, like the MotorCaravanners club, members are into rallies. Motorhome Matters is free and is part of Out & About Live run by Warners publication [MMM magazine
amongst others]. There are at least four other dedicated motorhome forums. There is often a forum linked to the manufacturer.0 -

We have a flush that works from the main tank and have come to the conclusion that pink is not necessary. Obviously Thetford/Elsan might beg to disagree
