1996 Compass Connoisseur - awning or porch help

Hi there, 

Brand new to the Caravan club and we pick up our second hand 1996 Compass Connoisseur 400/2 2 berth caravan on Friday. 

We are actually a family of three and have a dog too (dog will sleep inside the caravan), so we are looking for an awning or porch that will allow us a little extra space outside (for the son to sleep in) and allow us a bit of space to 'roll out' into. (Son
can always sleep in a seperate tent away outside if needed)

We're confused as to whether we need a full awning (I think we need an 805?) or whether we can get away with a porch version instead?  Our caravan is only small, so not sure what we can take.

Can anyone help us?  Very grateful for any assistance.
