Just read these new policies in the magazine. It seems to me that those directed at failure to cancel are very weak and will be ineffective. It takes 3 strikes before you're out - and then only for a couple of weeks.

On the other hand if you are forced to leave early which can be for any number of reasosn, some of whcih may be the fault of the site itself, you IMMEDIATELY suffer financial penalty. There are 101 legitimate reason why someone might need to leave early.
The CC justifies its policy on the basis of potential loss of revenue, yet doesn't deploy this argument against non-cancellation.

Which is the greater problem in practice- a no-show, or leaving a day early when the site is not full anyway?

It seems ot me the club sees early leavers as a soft target - we've got your money so we'll keep it.

I would suggest they should concentrate on the no- shows. Fail to show the common courtresy of calling the site (or logging on) and cancelling- then all further bookings for the season cancelled and no further advance bookings accepted for that year.

I would need to see statistics on how many people leave early and why before I am convinced of any need for action in that respect.
