Extra Charge forTowing With a Motorhome

I sometimes tow the caravan with my motor home and have been surprised when arriving at a CC site to be told there is an extra charge of £2 per night if it has gas on board. I cannot find any reference to this in site rules or charges. I cannot see any
justfication for it. I book a pitch for 1 caravan and 1 vehicle. I pay a per person charge for each member of my party (normally just 2). If I have gas on board it's my gas. So any suggestions as to why I should pay 2 quid extra?
