Carver Motor Mover, low power output

I have a Carver motor mover which is approx 8 years old. The power output is poor and it struggles to climb a one inch rise and would not go up a ramp. The distance between the tyre and the rollers is correct, battery in the remote control is ok and the
leisure battery is fine. Any ideas to increase it's performance capability??
