towing single axle versus twin axle fuel/pulling

i have a lunar clubman sb 2012 with a reick motor mover the mass is 1285klg and mtplm is 1440 we run at around 1375 klg we tow with a mitsubishi outlander 2.3 230-bhp 450 nm diesel 2012 the kerb weigth is 1745 klg but with me and fuel and some items in
the back the weight is around 1925 klg we are looking at a poss change to a lunar lexon 640 at 1528 klg mass and mtplm at 1694 klg but would run at around 1625 klg can anyone help with advice or knowledge re the mating of the outfit re pulling power and econoimy
tow vehicle solo does 45-50 mpg with the clubman on it does 28-30 mpg i am trying to acertain how much differance th e bigger van will make regards paul...
