Porch Awnings.....Air or Poles?

Hello,

I'm in the market for a porch awning.  The choice is bewildering.  Not only the various makes, (Kampa, Outdoor Revolution et al) but also the frame choice (traditional poles or the new fangled air systems).

Would like to hear from anyone who has tried both plus views on anything that might help.
