Hi we've had our caravan in a CASSOA Gold storage site for last few years. Site has changed hands and has moved large 8x4 concrete blocks to open up site to move the rubbish that was behind them to get more room for storage. This opens site to river bank
and gypsy site beside it. When we aske about this we were told the flimsy wire fence running along river bank was alarmed? so site still secure. It has been like this for about 4 months now and hardly any clearing being done.  We're worried our insurance would
be invalid if our van is stolen or broken into to. Site otherwise ok gated with fob and cctv but not maned at night . We pay £300 pa for single axle but no washing facilities and broken oily tarmaced road but close to home. Anybody have any advice on insurance
issues. Thanks

Personally I'd email CASSOA and ask them for some guidance if you are worried. They are the ones who are saying its a gold site

I think I would speak to Cassoa and consider moving the van asap.

I would also agree with the comments above.

It would be worth checking if the site still has that status as if you have doubts then you need to establish the position and if the status has changed advise your insurer. It depends on who they are how they view it but I would be checking out other sites
    if there are any.

If you have paid up front for a gold standard facility and it has lost that then you would be entititled to a proportion of your money back although getting it may be easier said than done.

I have had a look online,  but can't find a specification. It would be interesting to know what makes a site gold. At ours for instance, a gold site, the CCTV is monitored 24/7. I notice the OP says their site is not manned at night, but was still a gold
site. So this presumably is not a requirement to get gold accreditation. It would be interesting to know what the requirements are.
