13 pin plug after winter

Hi, Are we doing something wrong with our 13 pin plug over winter? we have a Bailey Orion 400/2.  It has been standing on our drive 'overwintering' since Oct 13.  We had hoped to take it out this weekend only to find that the 13 pin plug seems to connect
intermittently.  It is not twisted (that scuppered our first trip last year!) I think it might be damp - it has been on the drive, under a cover and exposed to S Wales winter damp and cold.

Any tips?

What do other people do to look after their 13 pin plugs?
