Can anyone offer advice as to why my 12v LED TV has a black shadow on the picture and is unwatchable? We have to run the TV off the battery as we have no electric when we are away. We have tried a couple of TVs but they are all the same.

if youve tried a couple of tvs and have the same issue than i would say there is a fault in the wiring from the aerial to the tv, assuming youre running it off a digital aerial...

suggest you have a look at the conmections at each end of the fly lead....or swap the fly lead for another one....

Is it a problem with your viewing angle? May sound silly but quite a few smal tv's tend to go negative when viewed from too narrow an angle vertically or horizontally.....Cool

We have recently changed caravan and this problem has occured with both caravans. We have just bought a new tv thinking it was the tv at fault, and the same problem again. Is it something with the new style flat screen tvs or the power?

As previously stated- check the angle of screen you are watching- a couple of degrees up or downward can play havoc with led transmissions- couodceven be tge way you are sitting / lying!!

The screen view does alter the picture and it goes 'negative'. I used to have one of the old Goodmans Tvs (the big square box ones) and never had a problem. Is there a TV that does not have this problem as it really annoying?

The Avtex we now have seems to have a much wider tolerance  than the cheap (£100) one we used to use. However, at over 3 times the price, adjusting your viewing position is a more cost effective option. I am not sure we would have gone out and bought one
as such, ours came with the van.

We have a similar 'problem'. In our case it is not a problem really. Our TV in the van usually only comes out of the cupboard for a few days of ourChristmas break. Where OH sits the image is fine. For me it depends where I position myself. We have the TV
on a side table but could place it on the front drawer unit if we wished. To be honest I am not fussed with TV and so as long as OH can view it over a few days at Christmas that is fine. It stays in a cupboard for the other 80+ days of caravan usage.
