Faulty speedo?

Whilst relaxing outside my van yesterday, I was surprised to notice a car go past at twice, possibly three times, the posted limit of 5 mph. Minutes later this was followed by a car and caravan doing the same sort of speed. In fact, the outfit came past
twice. Presumably, they could not find a suitable pitch on the first pass. I can only assume that both vehicles had faulty speedometers as I am sure that no club member would knowingly risk a speed related incident. Given that there were several small children
riding around on bikes, the need for care was self evident.
