Joint member - second class citizens?

Just tried to read a review of a CL only to find as a "joint member" I am not allowed to read it but instead have to log in as my husband.  what is the point of that - I can possibly understand that only he can book the site pitches but why cant I read the reviews.  How does this make any sense
