My Waeco CR-110 (compressor) has been running for about a month now. It seemed quite noisy so decided to investigate and soon discovered that it was the cooling fan creating the racket.  Manufacturers part was an unknown make and on the bench proved to be really loud.

Have swapped it out for a Noctua super silent 120mm PC case fan, just a 5 minute job but a worthwhile modification, just thought I would post it here incase anyone else has same issue.
