After  months of searching we finally picked up our new car on Friday. We found a website called autobiography put in the car we wanted and the max cost we would pay was given to us. We took this to the local dealers and asked them to match and they did.
We ended up paying 5k  less than the dealer originally quoted and less than than the cost of a second hand model. Worth trying if anyone is looking for a new car.
