Top sites for dogs?

Hi All. We have a very well behaved Doberman who loves nothing better than running (under control) off his lead in beautiful, wide open spaces. He's used to the wilds of northern Scotland, but as we live in Surrey, the odd weekend/week here and there isn't
possible. 

We're looking for a lovely rural/quiet site that has direct access to good walking for dogs, (off leads) that are closer to us...Anywhere as far as the Lakes, Wales, West Country, Norfolk etc would be great. Thanks in advance!
