Per booking pitches

Does anyone know why we are not able to book specific pitches for longer stays of say 4/5 nights or more? Just when we go for our main 2 week break it would be great to know which pitch we are going to be on - we are able to do this on non cc sites and are
happy to pay a non refundable deposit to do so. Arriving at sites after a long journey and finding only the worst pitches left, despite having booked months before, is not a good start to a holiday.
