Full time caravanning

Hi all,

My wife and I are seriously considering a lifestyle change as we are just tired of certain aspects of life. I am still working full time and we would therefore stay in the proximity of my work. We will be renting our house to one of our children so I guess
we have a fallback plan. We have been considering a narrowboat but the costs even for a reasonable second hand one is quite high. If we were to do this we would stay in a marina which is roughly double the cost of an all year round pitch. The main difference
is the liveaboard moorings allow 365 days a year habitation.

So we have a small dilemma in that we do not know what to do. We already have a caravan on an all year seasonal pitch but it is not local to my work. The caravan also lacks a fixed / island bed which we feel would be a prerequisite. I understand all rules
about how long we can stay anywhere, a postal address is not a problem. I guess what we are asking is in particular reasons for and against full time caravan (or boat) living, especially from voices of experience.

Thanks in advance for any constructive comments.
