Porous upholstery

Hello, our first trip in our 2004 Coachman has thrown up a mystery. In the morning just one of the front seat cushions feels cold and a bit clammy - the other feels fine. If it has been washed a bit too aggressively could it have become porous? Small dehumidifiers
would suggest that there is little moisture in the ambient air so I am a bit mystified. Anyone experienced anything similar? Many thanks.
