Pembrey Country Park - advice please

We've booked up to go to the CC site at Pembrey Park as it would appear to cater to the brats (!) as well as our two dogs.

I'm researching into things to do but keep seeing mention of another caravan site within the park in addition to the CC one. Is this the case and if so is the Park's own site a better option?

How far from the CC site say to the ski slope or the beach?

Any local knowledge would be much appreciated, just trying to build up a picture as such....
