Space savers and towing

buying a 2015 mondeo Zetec econotec  hatchback diesel and it is fitted wth alloys 16" x 6.5 with 215/60/R16 tyres. Spare is a space saver..Does anyone who is a caravanner and has a 2015 of this description, have advice whether buying a full size black steel
wheel and getting same size tyre fitted, did it fit fully in the wheel well...this has been discussed on previous threads but not up to date 2015 mondeo.
