Loss of a fantastic C.C. Site

Some years ago now, The Caravan Club gave up the River Croe site near Arrochar..I think it was because a lease renewal was involved and a hotel group wanted to build a prestigious hotel on the site....The last time I was in the area I called in to see the
finished article and it is indeed a wonderful building..My reason for raising this discussion is that nearly all of the ground that the caravan site used is still empty and has returned to nature...It seems such a shame for this ground to be lying unused and
wonder why it was necessary for the club to give up and whether it could ever be resurrected back to what used to be a fantastic retreat under the watchful eye of "The Cobbler".....Maybe the club can review the current situation.
