How To Remove A Front Window

Hi

I am trying to repair a front nearside delaminated window in my 2001 Sterling Eccles. I read online, stories of successful repairs using Bondrite S1220 so I have ordered a tube and it arrived yesterday. I tried to remove the the window by unscrewing the
internal stays and removing the black caps on the rail outside. However as the window is recessed I dont think I can slide it out. I read somewhere that if I raise the window past horizontal it should just lift out but I dont want to force it and cause a bigger
problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.
