It would appear that whilst our caravan was kept on a friends drive someone may have shown a little interest in the front locker. One of the catches that the lock fastens around has been snapped off, are these available to purchess or am I going to have
fashion something myself to replace it. Thank you.

It sounds as if you mean the rather pathetic bent metal 'keeper'.

I would simply make a replacement myself.  Difficult question though whether to make the new one stronger ....and risk much more damage to the lid/bodywork....if someone tries again.Sad

Try EBay -I just did a quick search for caravan compression locks and found two suppliers straight off. They have them on at around £25 or you could try a local caravan breakers.

Vicmallows, yeah I mean the keeper but ours are plastic. Never thought about other damage, glad ours are plastic and not metal now you've said that.

kenexton, thanks for the E-bay search, but it's not the lock but as you can see from Vicmallows description it's the "keeper". Done a bit of a search myself, different phrases and words and found one E-bay a plastic one like ours for £5, with postage. We
have since found ourselves proper storage so should be alot more secure.
