Refillable gas systems

I have been trying to get a full Calorlite bottle but none available where i am AGAIN! So i am going to look into one of the refillable bottle systems available but i don't want to have to drag the van through a filling station. Is it possible to just put
the bottle in your car and fill it on the forecourt as we did in Oz? Which system do you think is the best system for UK and Europe.
