Dogs On Leads

Hi All.

Just wondering if it was just me, as I am new to the forum, but isnt it in the Club guidelines that all dogs should be kept on a lead and under control at all times?

I am only asking because I had the fortune last weekend to stay on a lovely little CL in Derbyshire. Everything was fine until a couple arrived who insisted on letting their two dogs run around the site as though it was a race track. As if this wasnt bad
enough, the CL is on a working farm and as such the site is adjacent to a field full of ewes and lambs. Needless to say they werent too happy at the dogs running at them either.

Not wanting to make a fuss, my good lady approached the CL owner and he informed us that he would be having a word. I dont know if he did or not, but it obviously made no difference, as not once during the weekend did I see the dogs on a lead. In fact it
made sitting out enjoying the weather quite awkward, as I dont like having my toes licked while I snooze!!!!!

As a former responsible dog owner I always kept both of my "babies" on a lead, despite knowing in my eyes that "they wont hurt you", out of respect for other people using the site, who might not appreciate my dogs running riot.

Oh well, rant over. Does anyone else find the behaviour of irresponsible dog owners appalling or is it just me.
