Problem with hot water

Hi

As the title suggests I am having difficulties getting hot water to the tap. I know the heater is filling up as it empties the aqua roll and the drain tap is in closed position, however when you turn on the hot water tap nothing comes out and when I check
outside at the water inlet it is leaking almost I would say forcing the water out round the actual inlet. It is an older elddis 2001 year van if that helps. Not got the detail with me right now on the heater model unfortunately.
