Draining water for winter layup
Well I have just packed up my caravan for winter after cancelling the Christmas trip in it, we are staying at the in-Laws instead ahhhhhhh,
Now being the tight wad I am I did not want to spend out £50 on a water drain down kit. So This is how I did it….
Attach hose pipe connector to shower fitting

Attach short hose pipe to fitting

Attach foot pump to hose and pump,

With the drain valve open and all other taps closed it's a simple job to pump all the water back to the drain valve…..and out.... just keep below 15 psi
I also use this hose attachment and a hose to fill the toilet top tank, saves a lot of time filling with watering cans or bottles or as once I saw someone walking 30 to 40 times to the tap with a mug and using that.
