A Thumbs down?

I notice that there is a means for indicating your agreement with a poster, but not one for having a contrary view other than putting in a posting. Could not we have a 'thumbs down indicator' in the spirit of equality?

A recent post was closed yet several people managed to put a 'like' on it: where is the balance if a dislike cannot be put?
