Hello - new to touring & CRiS question

Hello - as proud new owner of a preloved Eriba looking forward to touring, I am working through the complexities of caravan registration with CRiS who appear to be 'under new management'.  Has anyone got any experiences of going through the process of registering
what counts as an imported van?  I didn't think it would be so difficult a process - thanks.
