The curse of caravan alarms

I've never had a caravan with an alarm, and recent experience suggests this may be a good thing. For instance,  a couple of weeks ago at Chapel Lane a van turned up with the alarm going off: the owner had no idea it even had one and didn't know how to turn
it off.  Today here at Wharfedale there is a caravan alarm that has been sounding repeatedly since just after 9, disturbing the peace while its owner has a day out.
