Irons on sites

The Club magazine reports that for "Heath and Safety" reasons, all irons and ironing boards are to be removed from Club Sites.  I would be very interested to know whether there is any good foundation for this or whether it is an over-reaction - preferably
before my wife refuses to do the ironing on safety grounds!
