Mondeo 1.6 Ecoboost tow car

I'm looking to change my tow car for a either a Ford Mondeo 1.6 Ecoboost or a 2.0 Ecoboost Automatic.  Thinking of these as I do too many 2 mile journeys to want the DPF hassle that a diesel would give me.  I have a Bailey Orion 430 / 4 with a MTPLM of 1247
that my pressent 2.0 D X-type Jaguar (no DPF) pulls effortlessley.  Does anybody have experience of either of these, even if not towed with them?
