Caravan Magazine
I was in the newsagents this morning and the sun was bright in the sky for a change, and my thoughts turned to caravanning, so I forked out £3.95 and bought the February copy of Caravan Magazine.
I haven't read this mag for years, and looked forward in anticipation to a good read. So you can imagine my disappointment when I opened my copy to find the first major article was about the joys of somewhere in Northern Ireland, the second about a family holiday in Yorkshire, the third about a caravan diner, the fourth about the joys of airshows, the fifth about memories of Norfolk, the sixth about touring adventures in France, the seventh about ghoulish goings on in Staffordshire.
Not until page 55 did I get to an article about touring pitches, but then it was back to an article about the joys of the Isle of Wight.
Not until page 79 did I get to an article which was actually about caravans.
Am I alone in thinking that a magazine called Caravan should actually be about caravans? If I wanted a magazine about travel and the joys of various places or activities, I would buy a magazine about them.
For me, a complete waste of £3.95.
