About to buy new caravan got niggling doubt!
Hello, hope the more experienced amoung you can help me. My husband and I new to caravanning and the Caravan Club, joined both in March and we love it! My life feels complete and much less stressful until we get on to towing limits. We made a 'huge' mistake and bought a Hobby 650KFU, 2004 28ft long and 8ft wide which we really love! We keep it on site at Cirencester as we found after buying it that you have to have a commercial vehicle to tow it because of the length (and weight) so we just tow it out of the storage pitch and onto the site which works well. We live in Cirencester and love Cirencester but now itching to tour and of course without selling the Honda CRV Diesel 2.0 ES 2007 and buying a van we can't. So the option is to buy a new caravan. We went to the Caravan show yesterday which was fantastic, so many to see think we only covered a fifth of what was there in the 7 hours. Anyway the long and short of it is we have paid a refundable deposit on an 2014 Adria Adora 4 berth Isonzo (refundable if we can't tow it). There seemed to be a bit of a debate as I checked it out on the caravan club site and it said no to towing but their check said yes but the nose weight was 108% so he said we have to move any weight to the middle/rear of the caravan. We also checked it on the Swift stand and their computer said 105% nose weight. Can we tow it or not?
I have got so worried about this now as I don't want to make the mistake twice. This is the spec. Thank you very much in advance, Pip
