CL's convenient for St James' Park, Newcastle

We heve been lucky enough to get tickets for two games in the Rugby World Cup 2015 that will be played at St. James' Park, Newcastle.

We attended a concert at the Sage last year [Steve Hackett] and stayed at the CC site at Old Hartley as a base & used the bus service to get in & out of the centre.

My question is whether there is a CL [or even a CS] close to the centre that might suit us better - near the Metro system would be ideal.

 

I know that Oct 2015 is a long way away, but there is no harm in getting prepared early!
