We have identified two CL's for our forthcoming North Wales trip:- Gwel y Wawr at Benllech & Pen-Y-Llyn near Holyhead.

Any comments about the sites - we are a 7.5 m motorhome - 2 adults & a dog.

The site reviews all look positive but we hav yet to actually book.

Or any alternate recommendations? We would need hardstanding & electric.

Thanks in advance

PilgrimPhil

    Hi Pilgrim Phil

We have stayed at Bryn Goronwy CL at Bryn teg near Benllech. The site has hardstanding ehu, fresh water hook up, waste water drain to each pitch. There is a heated toilet, shower room on site which is kept spotlessly clean. The site overlooks fields and Ian
and Yvonne keep a couple of horses in another paddock adjacent the site.I can recommend this site for a quiet peaceful getaway and £15 p/n good value but check price and availability with Ian

hope this helps you enjoy your stay on Anglesey

we are going for 2 weeks in June again as we couldn't get to do all we wanted last year, whilst on the island for a week

Why not try the CC's Cae Mawr site. It's just like a large CL, no toilet block but H/S and EHU.

Thanks for those ideas - I hadn't thought of the main CC site as we tend to concentrate on CL's these days.

We are trying to find a site close to the coast so that the dog can have a good run & wear himself [& us!] out!

He will have had four days "on lead" when we are at Beddgelert prior to heading to Anglesey where we start our National Three Peak jaunt - in 24 weeks - not 24 hours!

There are dog restrictions on a few beaches in Anglesey. I can't remember the details and locations but I'll see if Google can help

    edit. Here

Regarding exercising your dog, visit 'Parys mountain' on a sunny day, a very large disused open cast copper mine now partially overgrown that has a car park and dedicated trails for walking.
