TV in caravan - how does it work?

Hi all,

We are picking up our new Elddis caravan on Thursday.  It has 2 ariel points to plug into as well as a tv mount.  The system technical information is

  • Avtex, high gain, omni-directional aerial with  FM, AM, MW & LW, receives Digital and analogue signal

However having only ever had older caravans we NEVER have used a tv.  As we are looking to do some autumn and winter caravanning with the longer dark evenings and because potentially, we now can, I just wondered how involved having a tv is?  Do I need a
certain type of tv? Digital/freeview? Do i Need extra equipment?  I feel a bit silly asking but I literally have no idea how it all works Embarassed

If anyone can give me some 'simple' advice that would be great!
