ROUTE LE MANS TO ILE D'OLERON Nr ROCHEFORT

Hi i was wondering which is the best way from Le Mans to the Ile D'Oleron via Tours & Poitiers to Saintes. Or via Angers & La Rochelle. looking at the map there doesn't look much in it and the Angers route seems less toll roads not that a couple of k's will
make that much difference after driving from Dunkerque. Cheers Adrian
