Hi I am new to caravanning this year and have a question I am hoping someone can help me with. I have just checked my car and my caravan on the tows safe website and it is telling me that my kerb (maw/mtplm) is 86.1%. I understand that the recommended
figure should never exceed 85% ! Also the estimated tow bar weight is coming in at 101.1%. It is telling me that if it exceeds 100% the handling of the car could be compromised. I put into the site that i am a beginner and clearly this is having an impact
in the results. I have towed the caravan 4 times this year to various sites without any major problems. In relation to nose bar weight do I need to be reducing what I pack in the caravan and put it into the car instead? Confusing.....help.
