The rise of the Ready meal....

I found this table in one of the newspapers that shows the rise of the ready meal and the decline in sales of fresh meat (apart from chicken).  Perhaps this is the main reason that the retailers and supermarkets have managed to pass us off with horsemeat.  Time for the return of the local butcher I think....?
