TV bracket for motorhome

We have decided at last to get a tv for our van conversation.  As it is 'compact' we need to put the TV on a bracket.  Can anyone offer advice with 'do's and don'ts' about fixing such a bracket?  We have been told by someone that it is always best to remove
the tv whilst travelling but this seems to be a potential hassle.  Any views?
