Personal Insurance for a 3 month stay in Spain

Does anyone have any experience of obtaining personal insurance for a long stay in Spain over the winter? We don't need motorhome or caravan insurance just personal insurance. We have a quote from the Club (£575.50) which seems rather high for Europe and
wondered if anyone else has had similar experience?
