Different rules for different members???
Is the Club becoming far more prescriptive with less choice for some members?? After visiting a few new sites this past week I was surprised and somewhat dismayed at the lack of choice of pitches. One site had many seasonal pitches and when we arrived
there were only two or three touring pitches to choose from - mostly small and in shady areas of the site. There were at least half a dozen pitches with cones placed on them. We thought these were motorhomers who had gone out for the day until I mentioned
it to the warden. He said that, 'no', 'these were reserved for incoming members with larger units'. That appears to mean that members with smaller vans are being penalised with far less choice than those with larger units on such sites. All members pay
the same membership fee and the same nightly rates. If this becomes a regular practice - in view of the point made by a Club staff member recently about the increasing size of units - ought there not to be an extra charge for those larger units to make it
fair to all??
