As promised a while back, I have monitored our electricity use on our recent stay at CC Knaresborough site.

Background info.....

Van....7.95m Sterling Searcher Grade 2 insulation, 2kw Alde heating.

No awning used

Heating.....mainly using electricity.  22 degrees when in van, 14 degrees overnight, 18 degrees while away from van.

Cooking.....electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, 800w  electric hotplate,  plus one gas ring used about 5 times.

Fridge...large Thetford fridge/freezer running on electricity.

Washing up.....always in van.

Showering.....site facilities used.

Lighting...CFL and halogen bulbs.

Time on site....15.45 on 17/11 until 09.50 on 25/11.

Weather......  cold, wet and windy.

On 5 of the 7 days we were out for at least 5 hours per day.

Electric use.....251 KWh

Average 1.349 KWh per hour on site.

Having monitored our use before, this is in line with what I would expect for the time of year.
