Stickies

I appreciate the need for "Stickies" at the beginning of a section, giving vital or useful information which is often the first port of call with a query.  However some sections, for example the Overseas Sites and Touring section have so many stickies it
limits the number of current posts available to read at a glance.  One result is that a post can be made with a query but this disappears onto page two very quickly and can be overlooked.  Page two then repeats the same set of stickies.

Would it be possible to, at the very least, not repeat the stickies at the top of every page, or at best have a way of separating them?
