Apart from "Curtain Twitching" what games are played in the modern caravan?   I don't mean electronic ones, or the kind that can't be mentioned on a family forum.

Backgammon is our favoured one, we have both the traditional board and iPad versions. Mrsysf wins mostly so I have to practice secretly on the iPad!Embarassed

Write your comments here...David, we recently bought Pass the pigs. The card holders are a bit naff, if not useless. The cards slip off the holders. Did your pass the pigs come with small narrow plastic card holders?

We must be strange because we don't play any games in the caravan.

    Don't at home either.

Not sure what you mean by card holders John - which probably means we don't have them.  Apart from the pigs and the card that tells you what the different combinations score, we just have a pencil and a pad of score cards.  When you have finished we just rip off the top sheet weve used and throw it away.  We haven't run out yet, but when we do we'll just use ordinary paper!

We now just carry '3 games' in the van: Pass the Pigs; dominoes; and a pack of cards.  We used them all during the summer holidays (we don't take a telly across to France etc), but we haven't used them in the UK - when we take the telly!!!

Write your comments here...David. The pass the pigs game that we bought says that each player takes 13 cards. If yours is the same game, how do you hold the cards without the opposition seeing them?

It sounds like a different game completely John.  Ours is
    THIS
one.  I believe there is a different game called Pass the Pigs - Pig Party (or something similar!  I don't know this game but it looks like you have different coloured pigs and may be cards?  I've  never played this variation.

David. It is the same game as pictured. Chatted to my OH about it and I have come to realise that I am confusing it with another game! My appologies and thanks for your time. Must arrange a visit to a trickcyclist sometime!

We don't play games either. We always have a pack of cards in the van though.

Pre TV we used to have Mastermind, Draughs, Cards and Othello.

So glad we've sorted that.  It's been on my mind all afternoon.  I've been racking g my mind to think what it could be.  Pass the Pigs Pig Party looks interesting though.

Over many years we have played triominoes which we find absorbing and challenging even though a child's game. My wife and I have on ongoing tournament and someday I hope to take over the lead.

If we cannot just sit outside and read then Carcasssone, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan (if there are 4 of us) or, somewhat more traditional, Cribbage!
