Fiamma sun awnings, your advice please

We are retired so bought a larger caravan with a fixed bed. We don't need a normal awning but would like some shade especially when in France.

We are considering a Fiamma sun shade but would like advice from members who have experience with one. Should we be looking at a full length one or would a shorter one which gives a smaller shaded area be OK.

How successful is the bag left on the caravan when towing or is it better to remove it when travelling.

I know they should be taken down in stormy weather but can they resist normal rain.
