plug in electric hob

Hiya.
While out and about today I saw a plug in electric hob and wondered if anyone has tried one of these if you haven't got one built in, (if, like me you have 4 gas rings,) and so making a saving on gas while on using hook up?
If anyone out there has more grey matter than I, would it be too much of a pull with the voltage avalible trhough the caravans system?
