I got talking yesterday to a coulpe who said they were going to sell there moterhome and was looking to buy a caravan, i said why, they replied that they were getting fed up with packing everything away, everytime they went out.

Also the lady said they had visited some friends in there moter home on a club site , and when she went in there caravan she said it seemed really cosy and homely compared to there moterhome ,which they had paid £66.000 pounds for so it cant have been a small moterhome, also they said they had got stuck a couple of times on wet grass and had to be towed off mind you that can happen to anybody even a  4x4 if its wet enough, also they had got numerous parking tickets for being outside the white lines when parking and so on , ive have never had a moterhome so i wouldn't know what the pitfalls are, but i imagine if you are touring round and not stopping in one place for very long and moving on i would of thought a moterhome was more favourable  than a caravan.

But i must admit i like our caravan, its great as a base to tour around the area where you are stopping, also i should imagine there is a saving on fuel .

One other thing  they  said was that there moterhome had broken  down, while a way on holiday, and they had to stop in a hotel for 3 nights while it was being repaired,  plus they had paid there site fee's they didn't want the vehicle towing home as they had only just started there holiday , i suppose if you was in a caravan and your car broke down you can at least stop in your caravan till your car is fixed .
